Brian McMahon, Director
Brían McMahon began his career in Insurance in 2006 with MBC Insurance, over time he has held various roles within the company including his current position as Director with responsibility for New Business Sales and Product Development.
A native of Listowel, Co. Kerry and a Graduate of the University of Limerick Risk Management & Insurance Course, Brían has particular expertise in the areas of Technology and I.T. Insurance, Construction, Plant Hire & Tool / Equipment Hire Operators and larger commercial risks and has successfully launched our exclusive products Techinsure.ie and MBC Insurance Tool Hire Protector. He is a Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) and a member of Council for the Insurance Institute of Cork (IIC) & Insurance Institute of Ireland (III) and former President of the Insurance Institute of Cork for the period 2016 – 2017.
In 2017 he was centrally involved in the lauch of MBC Insurance’s new Kerry office at 32 The Square, Listowel, Co. Kerry.
Shane Sullivan, Director
Shane commenced his career in 1990 as a Commercial Underwriter with Hibernian Insurance. In 1997, Shane was promoted to the position of Business Development Manager for the key broker accounts in Cork City. Following 5 successful years in this position, Shane was appointed Director with MBC Insurance in October 2002, where he oversaw the integration of the recently acquired business of Lordan Magnier Insurance brokers.
Today, apart from looking after his own key accounts, Shane also looks after the development of business from a panel of Sub Agents nationwide and overseas the development of our exclusive Craft Brewers Insurance Product and Forklift Hire & Material Handling Insurance Scheme.
John Heaphy, Commercial Account Executive
John commenced his career with MBC Insurance in September 2013 having completed his M.Sc in Risk Management & Insurance. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying. John works closely with Managing Director Denis Collins looking after key accounts in the Commercial Department. He is a Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) & is progressing towards completing the Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) qualifications. In 2017 he was centrally involved in the lauch of MBC Insurance’s new Kerry office at 32 The Square, Listowel, Co. Kerry.
David Collins, Commercial Account Executive
David began his career with MBC Insurance in 2015 where he worked as Personal Lines Executive specialising in Household Insurance and Motor Insurance. David then progressed to his current role as Commercial Account Executive in 2016, and now manages his own account of business specialising in Commercial Property, Liability, Tradesman Insurance, Professional Indemnity, Motor Fleet and IT & Technology Insurance. David holds a MBS in Electronic Business and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Cork. David is a Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) & is progressing towards completing the Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) qualifications.
